The digestive system is a group of organs that convert food into energy to feed the entire body. The alimentary is made up of the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestines, and large intestines. Organs of the digestive system include the teeth, tongue, salivary glands, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. In the digestive system it all begins with the mouth. Inside the mouth are many organs that help the food to be chopped up and swallowed . Teeth chop food into small pieces, which are moistened by saliva before the tongue and other muscles push the food. The tongue is located on the portion of the mouth and medial to the teeth. There are six essential nutrients that help the body, and also helps the body stay healthy. The six nutrients include carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and water. “ Without carbohydrates, the body could not function properly”. Protein is the major structural component of cells and is responsible for the building and repair of body tissues. Fat is an energy source that increases the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins including vitamins A, D. Vitamin C. Metabolism is a term that is used to describe all chemical reactions involved in maintaining the living state of the cells and the organism. Nutrition is a key to metabolism. The pathways of metabolism rely upon nutrients, that they breakdown in order to produce energy. Stress is something that we all have dealt with before but the problem is that more younger teens are getting it and its bad for all of us but not as bad as if were older we shouldn’t be having stress at all I mean we should be stress free but were not and that the big impact that we have.
