George Inman tracked his food consumed for three days and this is what it consisted of. On day one for breakfast he had his normal morning cup of coffee with added honey, followed up with a breakfast burrito that contained of bacon, sausage, egg and cheese. That afternoon he snacked while he was working and ended up having 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter and also had some sliced Gouda cheese on whole wheat Ritz crackers. When He arrived at home for dinner that evening he had a 8oz chicken breast, chopped up over a premixed Caesar salad from Publix that had a serving size of about 2 cups.

Out of all that he had eaten that day he got a little closer to the goals set in each food group. He ate 7 ½ oz out of 6 oz of grains, ½ cup out of 2 ½ cups of vegetables, 1 cup of fruit out of 2 cups of fruit, 2 ½ cups out of 3 cups of dairy, and the exact amount of protein at 5 ½ oz. On this day he was low in fruit and dairy by just a little, but very low on vegetables leaving him consuming a good amount of grains and protein. On this day It is believed that he could have modified his diet by drinking a glass of milk in the morning along with eating a banana. That afternoon he also could have cut out one of the pieces of pizza and thrown in some frozen steamed vegetables. A few of these nutrients are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, water, and vitamins. All of these are a part of the essential nutrients. Some of the foods he ate where nutrient rich and others nutrient lacking. The Carbohydrates that he ate gave his brain its main source of energy. Without carbohydrates, the body will not function properly (Amanda, Hernandez). A few examples of the rich carbohydrates include salads, eggs, whole milk, and grilled chicken breast. A few examples of nutrient poor or lacking carbohydrates are beer, fried chicken, and pizza. The Protein eaten had helped with the major structural component of cells and was responsible for the building and repair of body tissues. Protein is broken down into amino acids, which are building blocks of protein (Amanda, Hernandez). To list a few Items of nutrient rich protein he had would be chicken, eggs, milk, cheese, and protein mix. Other protein he had that would be considered nutrient poor would be fried chicken, dirty rice, and barbecue pork
