It won’t be argued that the older community doesn’t agree with social media or cell phones and technology, because the increase in use has doubled from 22% to 42% from 2009-2010. So that is only a rough estimate of what it is today. This generation grew up writing mail, and interacting socially in person as compared to over the phone or through email. It’s not that they don’t like it, it’s just what they’re used too. Along with the older generation you have people that don’t like cell phone use or social media for the fact that it could have had a negative effect on them or someone in their life. A resulting example could be seen as a fatal car accident. Aside from the endless possibilities people will argue of the negative effect opposed to the positive, and these are just a few of the cons that cell phones and social media have had on society. cellphones in general have had a huge impact on car accidents and death ever since smart phones took the stand 10 years ago. Driving while texting, reading emails, or looking at facebook have been the result of so many lives lost.
