E-learning has become a more practical and cost effect way of training people whether you are at work or going to school. This is especially helpful when there is a large company that has branches in many cities all over the world, or Universities reaching out to those who want to continue their education, but lead busy lives. All of the employees/students have to follow the same rules and guidelines; with e-learning all that is now possible. This method is used every day by us students at Ashford and by many organizations for the transfer of knowledge and skills. Skills, education and training can be acquired through such devices as mobile phones, tablets or any device that can deliver web-based materials. Kopp describes, E-learning as “any technology-enhanced learning, computer-based instruction, Internet-based training, or virtual instruction. Specifically, e-learning includes numerous types of media that deliver text, audio, images, animation, and streaming video. It includes technology applications as well as local intranet/extranet, smart phone apps, and web-based learning (Kopp, 2014).
