To What Extent Does Technology Connect Us

Does technology connect or isolate us? In my opinion I think that technology can do a little bit of both. If you are using the technology properly it can connect us. Like if you need to call a parent or guardian. If we are using it improperly it can isolate us. Do you use your phone, tablet, ipod, exc. too much? If you do you are going to get a rude awakening. You can become grumpy, tired, and act differently. There are lots of ways how technology can connect and disconnect us. Some ways technology can connect us are when we need to talk to family but they live far away. I have family that lives in Illinois and the Upper Peninsula so when I am missing them, I can give them a call. Another way technology connects us is face time. …show more content…
In some cases technology can also help you learn. There are some apps like www.abcya.com/ that allow kids to learn. Also lot of schools use technology for tools of learning. Many schools Ipads, chrome books, and computers that have educational games. Some parents even have their children do online school. Online school lets kids do school on the computer so they don't have to go to a school. Online school is also referred to homeschooling. Those are some ways that technology is good in the sense of learning. There are lots of ways technology can isolate us. If you are in technology too much you can get tired all the time grumpy or maybe even addicted. Being on technology too much is not good for your brain or your body. Being on technology can make you not want to associate with the real world. You can also get in a lot of trouble on technology. If you pay for a lot on a video game or an app some one may be able to hack you and steal money or even your identity. Those are some ways that technology can be harmful. l Does technology connect or isolate us? I think that technology can do a little bit of both. Using the technology properly it can connect us.
