Did you ever hear about an online education? Online education is a type of education which is delivered and managed by using the Internet. However, if you are wondering how different between online education and homeschooling. Lauren Martin (2014) showed that homeschooling means that a parent and a teacher have responsibility for finding the curriculum to their children and teach them at home. So, they are obviously different. Twenty years ago, the online course would have been tough to imagination high-quality instruction delivered online. But today, in the digital age, it becomes a reality. Digital Learning Compass in 2017 reported that there are over 6 million students enrolled courses online and that number continues to grow. There are three reasons demonstrated that why online education becomes popular. First, online courses offer flexibility. Second, it is cost savings. Last, you will get hired fast. Employers look for different and special things when seeking a new employee. That means the online program will always look nice on your resume. Phasellus (2011) stated that the online course will show potential to employers that you are committed to learning and you are eager to obtain more knowledge and new skills. It demonstrates personal discipline, intellectual maturity, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn. You will certainly become a better candidate for a job promotion or you maybe get the job with the speed of light.
