My artifact is a speech given by the rhetoric, Donald Trump, president elect of the United States. At the time this artifact was produced, Trump was still running for office against Hilary Clinton and was not yet elected for president. On June 22, 2016, Donald Trump decided to do an “Anti-Hilary” speech. This speech was to conclude that Hilary Clinton cannot be the next president of The United States simply because she was not fit. His goal is to persuade the target audience to not vote for Hilary. Trump starts of his speech by talking about himself, and his beliefs in how we can make changes for the country. He states, that only he can fix the country, it cannot be fixed by Hilary. Trump then goes on to talk about how the system is rigged …show more content…
This artifact is to get people to not vote for Hilary, and she that she is an unfit candidate to be president. Trump shows moral habits throughout his speech using justice, temperance, and courage. Trump is demonstrating in his words that the system is rigged and he wants the best of America. He is concerned with doing what is best for the United States oppose to the things Hilary Clinton has done while being the Sectary of state. Temperance: Trump speaks very stern at the audience. He’s a little aggressive and cocky with the way he is speaking. He believes highly in what he is saying. Trump is using courage by speaking very harsh about his opponent. It’s courageous because Trump has no filter when he speaks. He also uses humility to embarrass Hilary Clinton ”No she never would cover anything up.” Trump states facts and numbers on his claims against Hilary Clinton. Trump states his opinions on why Hilary should not be President. He states what are to be facts. He quotes a book, Clinton Cash, by Peter Schweitzer, to get support the statement that Hilary was getting rich based on China deals. After Trump states his opinions, he has reasons of why she should not serve in office.

A Factor: Trump is stating from the very beginning that he feels like Hilary will not be fit for President. He isn’t beating around the bush, or isn’t telling the audience what they want to hear. It makes a statement and begins to state facts on why he made the statement.
Ex. “Hillary Clinton who, as most people know, is a world class liar –just look at her pathetic email and server statements, or her phony landing in Bosnia where she said she was under attack but the attack turned out to be young girls handing her flowers, a total self-serving
