For this assignment, I choose Dolores Huerta, a Chicana labor leader and civil rights activist in the United States. Dolores Huerta worked to improve social and economic conditions for farm workers and to fight discrimination. Huerta is most known for being the co-founder and first vice President of the United Farm Workers (UFW) alongside with Cesar Chavez. The United Farm Workers was the first union of agriculture workers. Huerta would risk her life in order to ensure the rights of farm workers, she participated in many strikes.
