We can start by testing appearance from reality by showing her a model of a room and hide a toy in the model. Later, inform her that a bigger toy is at the same place as the smaller one and ask her if she could find it. According to Piaget she should be able to find the toy easily, if preoperational stage is mastered; Anu is now capable of these kinds of tasks. Next, we could ask her questions regarding conservation of volume by having 500mL of water in different size tubes and asking if they all have same volume; Anu currently has trouble answering this question. According to Vygotsky every child has zone of proximal development, the distance between what a child can do alone and what is possible with help (Kalat, 2014). By showing Anu examples of how water can change shape but retain its volume we can help her master this
