In the United States one of five deaths are caused by cigarette smoking each year. Smoking brings many health issues to your body because it is causing you to damage the airways you use to breathe. In just one cigarette, there is many chemicals in it that affect you. For example, nicotine is a chemical found in the cigarette. What Nicotine does to you is it causes you to be addicted to cigarettes. You will always have a constant desire to smoke a Cigarette because the nicotine is in your system. The image portrays a Cigarette that is being burned when in use. To the left there is a number scale that is going from zero to sixty. When you are smoking a cigarette it slowly shortens in size. The image lets viewers know that their life will end soon with the use of cigarettes. This image strikes fear into most people because knowing that you are killing yourself slowly is frightening. Every person has somebody in this world that cares about them. When you smoke you are not just hurting yourself, but you are also hurting the people that love you the most. Your friends, family and the people around you get affected by your smoking. For example when you have kids and get married smoking will affect your family. Kids need their parents growing up because without them their lives are different. Smoking will end your life with many harmful diseases; therefore, your kids will not have a father. While smoking you cause second hand smoking where the people around you will inhale the smoke that you let out. This is very harmful because you can develop heart disease when always experiencing second hand smoking.
