Definition of Refugees and accessing services What is a refugee? According to the World Relief (2015) a refugee is someone who has fled their home country and cannot return home do to a fear of prosecution based on countless factors. There are numerous refugees that enter the United States and remarkedly some of them will not be able to access all of the services they need to survive. For some of the people that live here illegally they are afraid to find help for themselves whether it is legal, physical, or even seeking help from a doctor in medical emergencies. There have been more than 1.77 million Syrian refugees that have escaped to Turkey, which now holds the record of the world’s largest refugee holding nation (UNHCR, 2015). Even though Turkey has the utmost amount of Syrian refugees in the world does not mean that Syrian’s only flee there. Park and Omri (2016) from the New York Times had written about Syrian people traveling all the way to America for a new change. In the beginning of the article they had stated that the U.S. had just admitted 10,000 Syrian refugees in a week. There are other refugees out there that are not just of the Syrian community. It is a problem or situation that requires a person or organization to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical) (Ethical Issue, n.d.). Many of the communities that receive refugees have to cope with the changes that happen to their communities. The people who come in have different views and religion and they come into the community and still continue to think the way they do. It can mess up the way that the community lives and functions. There is also the tasks of reconciliation and reconstruction in the aftermath of conflicts raises fundamental questions of moral responsibility and action for scholars and practitioners
