Some people are not comfortable with having disruptions to their every day routine and will be anxious or frightened of the changes to come. However, providing adequate time to learn the new process or system will allow employees to be more comfortable with their new tasks. Using simulations can provide valuable feedback from the users and allow management to become aware of issues that could be disastrous to the organization if not addressed prior to going live with the changes. In addition, proper training will assist in increasing the employees’ confidence as they become comfortable working with the new system. The amount of time dedicated to employee training is also crucial.
