Daniel Berriga Daniel Berrigan was born in Minnesota, in the town of Virginia. He was the son of Frieda Berrigan, who was of prominent German decent. Thomas Berrigan was Daniel Berrigan's father. He was an Irish Catholic. He was also strongly involved in the trade union, oh which he has been a member of the majority of his life. He was the fifth of six brothers. His brother was also a so called peace activist. His brother was named Philip Berrigan. Phillip was the youngest in the family. At age 5, Berrigan's family moved to a town in New York. Once he got older, in 1946, Berrigan received a bachelor's degree from St. Andrew on Hudson. This is a Jesuit seminary located in New York, specifically Hyde Park. Eventually, in
