Count Casimir Pulaski
Count Casimir Pulaski was a polish officer that fought in the American Revolution. He is the most-known polish name in the entire United States because he aided the Americans in the defeat of the British. He did many things that helped the American defeat the British, such as saving George Washington's life, leading the army during many battles, and doing many other extraordinary things. That is why he is known as the "Hero of the American Revolution". If he did not participate in the American revolution, it would have been easier for the British to defeat the Americans.
Kazimierz Pulaski was born on March 4, 1948, at Winiary, Poland. He was born to Josef Pulaski, his father, and Marriana Zielinski, his mother. He attended school in Poland, because his parents wanted him to receive a good education. Once he became older, he attended a Catholic college, but did not finish his education there. He aided George Washington, a well-known american general, during many of the battles. George Washington and Pulaski helped the Americans greatly during the American Revolution. During one of the battles, Pulaski did one of the most unexpected and shocking things ever. He saved George Washington's life, while risking his own. The British were about to kill Washington, but Pulaski charged at the opposite army and prevented them from killing Washington. While he was charging at the opposite army, he suffered a wound. It was only a small wound, so he was not seriously injured or dead. "I came here, where freedom is being defended, to serve it, and to live or die for it,".(Symanski 102).
