Action Plan
Aim: In recognising the vital role children’s services provide, an item will be constructed and donated to support children in the broader community.
Issues:
- The Area of Study, Political and Legal Issues, will be addressed by the task supporting the wellbeing and special needs of vulnerable children, and providing an opportunity to empower and give back to the community.
- The item will assist a children’s service that supports the rights and welfare of children. The children’s service will be researched and contacted to ensure the item will suit the needs of the children.
- The wellbeing and health of a child will be endorsed through the donated item promoting care and love. The item will address the children’s needs through using appealing, age …show more content…
The premature infant clothes, including specialised dresses and shirts, and beanies kits constructed and donated will help address the wellbeing of neonatal infants at Baby Watoto.
Justification:
After previously investigating Baby Watoto for a Research Project, the organisation was discovered to be a worthy and vital service of love and support. Through medical attention and holistic support, Baby Watoto empowers premature, malnourished, abused and abandoned infants to flourish.
As neonatal infants easily lose body heat due to a bare head, the provision of beanies will support the newborn in remaining warm. In addition, due to a lack of body fat and inability to regulate body temperatures, the premature infants will require clothes for warmth, as well as comfort and security. The specialised clothing will follow correct measurements and allow easy access of medical care and equipment (see Diagram
