While I was in this role I gained an awareness of how my behaviour could impact on an organisation in and outside work, which helped me build upon my professionalism. Not initiating or partaking in inappropriate conversations, contact, or sharing to much personal information that I diminish my own professional authority. Challenging staff where discriminatory comments may have been made which may have caused offense, highlighted the importance of working in an ethical manor, adhering to the organisation ethics and have key personal morals and values.
•This working environment was a great example of working collaboratively. Each department worked with each other to preform outcomes. Its highlighted how working effectively in a collaborative way can improve an organisation outcomes therefore they improve the education and experience of its student.
•I believe a part of professionalism is been able to protect personal well-being. In this role I got the chance to represent our department in a well-being initiative to improve it throughout the school. This involved a meetings where I advocated views of other staff and my own into how to improve our well-being. Promoting well-being influences your professional resilience.
