Clive Staples Lewis
An exceedingly renowned author, C.S. Lewis, has challenged the world of literature, reflecting his Christian values and life within his hundreds of books. “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” (Lewis 140) Various agnostic scholars agree Lewis’ writing is impeccable and his theology is well-thought and credible. Considering what Lewis has been through, numerous readers are astonished by his viewpoint of a God that provides and blesses. Although his writings are from the twentieth century, Lewis’ words still strike readers and scholars in wonder today.

Jack was stuck at the school until it closed down due to a lack of students. He moved schools, and started to experience much academic success, but he developed respiratory problems. He was sent to Malvern, England in 1911; this town was prominent for treating lung issues. Lewis started to meet with professors of literature in 1914, receiving private lessons and developing academic competence. For a few months in 1917, he studied at University College in Oxford. Warren has been expelled from college and joined the army. Jack also joined three years after Britain got involved in WWI.

They developed a very close friendship and decided to make a deal with one another. If one of them died in battle, the other would support the other’s family. Moore did die in 1918, but Lewis was only wounded. True to his word, Lewis took care of Moore’s family and lived with Mrs. Moore, Edwards’s mother, until she died.
