Despite the fact that the general public is not used to see the nurses as leaders, and not all nurses start their professions with ambitions of turning into a leader, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) visualizes a future where every nurses are leaders and advocates for the progressing changes to the health care system (Garner, 2011). Even though every nurse has the potential for a leader, however not everyone may perceive this inside themselves.
