Focusing specifically on Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and the ninth largest city in the country, helps dispel some the problems mentioned above that affect the country as a whole. For example, Islamabad is considered the most highly developed city in Pakistan, and it also has the highest literacy rate in Pakistan, as well as some of the best universities in the country. With a population of over 1 million in 2011, a metropolitan area population of more than 4.5 million and the fastest growing city in the country in terms of population, economy and urban development, Islamabad presents a growing and urbanized potential target market (“Visit Islamabad”). Plus, the city is only gathering more attention from the Pakistani government and foreign investors, continuing the cycle of growth, which Illuminer could take advantage of.
