Two metrics developed and implemented by Medtronic supervisors to measure and determine compliance of federal reporting guidelines required by the Sunshine Act are the Monthly Compliance Metrics Work Instructions and Clinical Connect Adoption & Adherence Metrics. The Monthly Compliance Metrics Work Instructions metrics describes the process for compiling and presenting the monthly compliance metrics and producing associated graphics for the presentation of gathered data. The Medtronic Monthly Compliance Metrics Work Instructions follows a step by step reporting process. Step one of the Medtronic Monthly Compliance Metrics Work Instruction begins before the end of every working month. Step two is to complete the compliance metrics dashboard. …show more content…
First, one must check if the tasks listed are listed in the correct month? If the tasks listed do not match the designated month, step one of the monthly compliance metrics work instructions has not been performed or verified. Next, check to see if all tasks have been completed or submitted on time. If all task listed on step two are not listed with a previous month date, then the proof point for the task has been met and confirmed. Third, one must check if the data from the project dashboard has been saved in the document repository. If there is no data in the repository, steps one and two have not been completed and should be rechecked. Fourth, one must check that the data’s dates align with the proper schedule. Fifth, one must check and confirm that data is not enrolling and if data is enrolling month to month, one must check that the enrolling data numbers are updated monthly. The final step for confirming a task dashboard includes an Audit Readiness Plan. Every task dashboard must include an uploaded Audit Readiness Plan to be considered complete and before continuing to step three of the Compliance Metrics Work Instruction.
