The third component will begin in July 2017, which involves understanding our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and hiring a trained professional who has extensive knowledge pertaining to MIPS. Therefore, the first activity in component three is to ensure our EMR, eClinical, is sufficient enough to handle the MIPS reporting data. For example, the EMR needs to be able to extract quality measures in order for our organization to report to CMS by the end of the 2017 fiscal year. In this activity, the practice manager will need to research and attend seminars to understand how to retrieve data from eClinical so she may report the quality measures for each of the eight physicians. In other words, this activity is the educational program itself, which will take place August 1st 2017 and run until September 30th, 2017. During this time, the weekly meeting will begin as well as introducing the several topics in relation to MIPS, which will include the PowerPoints, worksheets, and discussions. The activity is intended to educate the employees and physicians on the new mandatory reporting requirements initiated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The second piece to the feedback activity is incorporating a check in/ evaluation tool to ensure the physicians and staff members are retaining the information about MIPS. In fact, starting in August after each weekly education meeting, the practice manager will incorporate a "five-minute paper" evaluation tool. This exercise will take a few minutes at the end of each session where she will ask the staff some questions pertaining to the weekly topic. Each of the staff members will then answer the questions on a piece of paper and hand it in. This will give the practice manager a general idea of where each individual stands and what information our program needs to focus more on throughout the rest of the education training. For instance, the information the staff members are still unclear
