Today’s world, there are many different ways to get involved in religion; various methods have attracted groups of all ages and races. Religion is an important part in people’s lives and they take it very seriously. Even people who are not religious at all, by nature consider it to be important. Two of the most important religions are Christianity and Islam. There are similarities and difference when it comes to the Prophet Muhammad (570 AD - 632 AD ) and Jesus (7 BC - 29 AD) the prophets of the religious. Both of these two powerful religious leaders had strong views on the world around them. The Prophet Muhammad and Jesus had similarities and differences their viewpoints continue to cause conflicts between their followers today.

They played a large role in developing both Christianity and Islam around the world: “Jesus and the Prophet Muhammad established the world’s two largest religions, Christianity with 2.1 billion, and Islam with 1.8 billion people, together half of the world’s population” (Kole). Their roles were to deliver the message and act it out to the best of their abilities. There was also a coincidence that neither of them wrote down their ideas, but their followers recorded their words that we have today. The pair also talked about the purpose of life; the Prophet Muhammad wanted the people of his land to worship God by praying daily. Jesus wanted our primary purpose to be establishing an intimate relationship with God as well. Not only were there similarities between the Prophet Muhammad and Jesus, but also Islam and Christianity. When it came to heaven and hell they both believed, “Hell is eternal damnation and heaven is the symbol of eternal peaceful life in constant follow ship with God” (Ahemd).
