The ongoing conflict in the Middle East contributes to the content conflict between Islam and Christianity. The destruction produced by years of conflict has left many displaced and forced to immigrate to other countries. Huntington essay “The Clash of Civilizations?”, he states that,“as people define their identity in ethnic and religious terms, they are likely to see an "us" versus "them" relation existing between themselves and people of different ethnicity and religion.” (Huntington, 9) Therefore to many this relationship becomes antagonistic where one side is usually victimized.
