The history of Coca-Cola can be traced back to 1886 when an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton, made the drink out of curiosity. He created a caramel-colored flavored liquid syrup, which is then mixed with carbonated water and took it to his neighborhood pharmacy. The new drink was regarded “excellent” and considered something special by the customers who sampled it. Frank M. Robinson who is Dr. Pemberton’s partner and bookkeeper was credited with the naming of “Coca-Cola” and the design of the trademark.
