Your passions, desires strengths, and skills may manifest itself to have nothing to do with a career but they can serve as a blueprint as you search for career goals, career choices and opportunities. Career choices can be anything from a mail carrier to a anesthesiologist. Choosing the right career to some people serves as more importance than how much money they are making. For children, career choosing is not a necessity as of now, but for growing teenagers and adults it is becoming more of an everyday thing. To become a cashier one must have the basic criteria of a general high school diploma. Having the basic knowledge of mathematics and reading will do an individual just fine in this area or work. There is no specific degree needed to become a cashier although most jobs pay more for having one. Cashiers usually get their experience from on the job training and being taught specific procedures like store policies and how to work with certain equipment. Skill required to be a cashier are communication skills and customer-service skills. Important qualities needed to become a retail cashier are dexterity, integrity, patience, & physical stamina. The typical workday for a cashier goes from greeting customers, answering questions, to ringing up customers purchases and exchanging returns. Advertising for cashiers are not ubiquitous but they are in some places where store owners and others feel they are needed. People advertise cashiers to have someone work in their store, stabilize economy by giving people jobs, and because machines are expensive and can 't do everything so they hire labor
