For this assignment, I attended a Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) chili cook off event followed by a student dance. This event was held at Eastern Randolph high school in Ramseur, North Carolina. This is a small school surrounded primarily by agriculture and Ramseur is a small town of less than 2,000. The community members are mostly alumni of the school and have had generations attend Eastern. Because of this connection, the community is big supporters of school athletic events and other performances. The event occurred on this past Saturday, November 14th from 5pm-7pm.
