Many individuals, myself included, will always have family members that can be defined as unusual. Whether it be at family barbecues or even out on a vacation, these family members are customary to making themselves stand out.

Uncle Arturo (or 'Art' for short) stands about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, has short and curly black hair that has begun to recede, and has stomach that's as hard as a rock although it bulges out to be as big as a basketball. Uncle Art is notoriously known for his colossal appetite, his teenage mindset, as well as his mannerisms while intoxicated.

It was a tranquil but immensely scorching Tuesday morning in Palm Springs. Everyone in my family was helping to set up for the annual Fourth of July BBQ at abuelo y abuelas casa. The house, plastered wall to wall with the cheesiest Fourth of July decorations, seemed to be in unity. The youngsters were scampering around tirelessly while the adults and teenagers helped prep food, and other activities such as the family relay race.

In addition, everyone loved the marinade I concocted, a mixture of BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and an ice cold brew.

I strolled to the table outside, cautiously carrying tray after tray of chow, in hopes that I wouldn't get mobbed by family members in aspiration to taste the meat. The lingering aroma of the meat drifted inside the house into the nostrils of every single individual and signaled that it was time to feast.
