Nevertheless, the purpose of the foster care system is to benefit these children. Do the children not in foster care see a therapist often? Are we diagnosing all the children in foster care simply because they are required to see a therapist? Today, the children in foster care are being diagnosed with disorders and become dependent on medications versus receiving the nurturing of parents.
