The best way to select the next investigator is through experience and qualifications through study. In my opinion the five most important attributes in an investigator; from most to least important.
Observation Skills Is an important skill in collecting evidence. Observing everything in the crime scene and the behavior of the victim and witnesses and the suspect to get to the bottom of what has occurred.
