First, skills are an important part of this job. Some important skills are, “patience, concentration, observation, communication, accuracy, and scientific skills” (NCS). The reason you need patience and concentration is if something is rushed, it won’t be accurately done. Observation skills are needed for the purpose of looking for small details and evidence. Communication skills might be needed because you will need to testify in court or talk to witnesses. Next, educational requirements are a bachelor’s degree. Classes to take are “chemistry, biology, anthropology, psychology, law, and medicine…” (Echaore-Mcdavid and Mcdavid xii). A master’s degree might get you a better chance at getting the job and you would have more experience on the subject. Lastly, being able to speak different languages might be required. It depends on where your job is located. Taking a language might be an educational requirement. Speaking more than one language would be very useful during the job. In order for me to have my job I would have to relocate. Forensic scientists collect and analyze evidence. The annual salary for a forensic science technician is “$60,090”, and someone should be able to make a living. I will find full satisfaction in my future career. I believe I have what it takes to be a forensic science technician. Without these boring crimes, we wouldn’t have such interesting job
