The client is a 18yrs Caucasian male with no know history of mental health diagnosis (as indicated by the student) presented to the Tidewater Community College with the complaint of being unable to socially or academically adapt to his educational environment. Tony, is a sophomore first generation student who lives with his mother and stepfather.

Subjective Complain:
The student complained about feeling anxious as a result of his mother threatening to “kick him out the house if he does not continue his education. The client stated “college is not for people like me.” Tony indicated that he feels inferior to the other students because he was reared in a trailer park and is the only family member to attended college. He conveyed feelings
