The code that was breached was the code of fairness. Even though Chris was stating her opinion, she was still not being fair. She described Dr. Smith's job as having less cases since many of his patients had a lot of complications after surgery. However, having complications after surgery is not the doctor's fault, nor is it the patient's fault either. Complications only result from a body organ that is not performing its job properly. Not everyone has complications from surgery, and Chris should have let her neighbor decide which doctor to visit. The code that was breached was the code of respect. Chris only respected one company that she believed had the best product. She did not have much respect for the other companies since they did not have the desired product. She should have asked for her administrator's opinion about choosing the right product, and also she should have asked the other companies if they had a similar product. For example, the product could have been cheaper at another company, but with the same results.

The code that was breached was the code of responsibility. It is solely the responsibility of a professor not to share a student's information with other students. The subject of the student's health should always remain confidential. Chris broke that responsibility by sharing a student's personal information with others. If

The attornery asked Chris to give him the record so he could be prepared for his explanation, and all this happened during a noon recess when no one else was around. The attornery also did not have the patient's permission to review the record. It does not make any difference if he gets a preview of the record. The attornery broke the law of integrity by not being honest with the court. He would most likely not mention that he had a quick preview of the record during the recess.
