Berman's Manifested Symptoms

Some manifest symptoms that are problematic in my origination include clients’ complaints, unrealistic plans and goals, employee demotivation, unmet projects and lack of endorsement. According to Berman, sometimes problem definition is obvious, and sometimes its needs a bit of work. In order to define a problem Berman provided three steps first we must obtain information about the manifested symptoms as well as associated circumstances and underlying causes; secondly, evaluating information about systems, standards and visions. Thirdly, recognizing strategies that help recognize the future in ways that both address the manifest symptoms and their causes, and which move the organization forward in ways that are consistent with its bigger priorities.
