The idyllic town of Bethlehem, New York, is seemingly isolated from the world. The municipality resides near the Adirondack Mountains, which lay in upstate New York. Bethlehem is full of picturesque views due to the surrounding landscape. While driving along Route 87, just minutes from the town of Bethlehem, the more natural component of life becomes even further emphasized as the occasionally snow-capped mountains come into view. While it is certainly not an ugly town, it pales in comparison to the natural beauty of Bethlehem. Bensalem has a more natural city-like feel rather than a rural due to its proximity to the city of Philadelphia. Because of its closeness to the major city, it causes pandemonium and constant traffic on the roads surrounding the urban area, as well as frequent commotion and noise of people and cars. Examples of these hectic areas would be along Street Road and along Interstate 95. Full of many shopping centers, restaurants, and neighborhoods atop one another, Bensalem is not necessarily accentuating the natural part of life, rather making the material part more
