Their contents, however, are what differs and ultimately what affects the people that live there. One neighborhood is more attractive than the other and one is more populated than the other too. Both of these communities have their own unique characteristics that make them what they are and all of these factors influence and play a role on the people who live there. The neighborhood you or your family lives in, has a major influence as to how you grow up, what interests you have, and who your friends are. Your community also has multitudes of information to categorize your lifestyle and what type of person you are. On Scenic Hill you can see that the houses are well up kept and presentable showing you that the families are high-income. However, this can be confused with middle class homes for reason that they’re mindset is similar to those of the high-class. They are lacking the financial compensation to pay for upkeep whereas high-class families can afford someone else to do the busy work. The low-class families like those living in Mt. Joy, have lower incomes and spend their money on necessities living day-by-day and, depending on the parents, usually spend the remainder of the money towards their children’s ambitions. The high class families spend their money to benefit the family as a whole, purchasing luxuries that everyone can enjoy. This varies by the type of parents’ families have but for the majority this is the norm. The spending of families, regardless of social class, affects the children they raise greatly by showing them what matters and what to value in life. You can see as you move down the social classes the parents are typically more oriented to their children before themselves. Certain parents aren’t like this in part of the social class change they might have experienced, whether it was up or down a class.
