Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is a disorder of the brain development. Autism is characterized by different forms, for example when a child has problems interacting with other people, nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. They can diagnostic autism at the age of 2 and 9 because at that time language is emerging from the children. In my case when my brother was little he was having trouble talking, he didn’t speak at the age of 1 year. My mother was worried about my brother, she took him to the doctor and he sends my brother with a specialist in autism, we took two opinions from two different doctors. In the process my brother went to take some therapies of language, he advance a lot with those therapies. Now he is a kid who interacts with everyone, talk a lot and have a lot of friends.

Autism is more common in boys than girls, studies that they have made is the probability that four to five boys are more commune. People estimate 1 out of 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls with in the United States. Other studies they have made show that 3 million individuals get affected by autism, they have seen that has been increasing from 10% to 70%.

If you had twins studies show that if one of the babies has autism, the other baby will be affected about 36%-95%. If you are a parent with an autism child, there is more probability that the next children will have autism.
