Nowadays, people are putting too much attentions to their appearances, especially women. When women talk about beauty, it seems like there is no limit to how much money a woman can spend. There are always some magic products that promise to give women shiny hair, clear skin, or remove wrinkles. Women never give up a way that could help them to get prettier. Some women spend hundreds of dollars a month on the product and treatment. When cosmetics can not be satisfied with them, they think about plastic surgery. Plastic surgery is a medical procedure with the purpose of alteration or restoring the form of the body. Women are crazy about their beauties, and they never feel satisfied with themselves. They want to be prettier and prettier, until they are perfect. Perfect would not happen in real life. Some women did hundreds of times plastic surgery because they want to get prettier than before. So they did the surgery again and again. Because of people’s greedy desires, there are more serious issues shows. They are addicted to the plastic surgery, and they cannot control themselves to stop. It is an unhealthy psychological problem. For most people, when they hear the word addiction, they think of drugs and alcohol. Substance abuse are some of the most common dependencies, however addictions can manifest themselves in other ways. One very serious addiction that is often overlooked is plastic surgery addiction. Plastic surgery addiction falls into a category of addictions known as behavioral or process addictions. In a behavioral addiction, an individual is addicted to a specific behavior despite apparent negative consequences. Usually, this is because they are not confident about themselves or they want to look in a certain way that fits their personal desires. This is wrong. It is not fair for people who do not do plastic surgery and suffers unnecessary harms just because they are not that pretty. Some people are refused because of their appearances when they are looking for a job. It happens when two people apply for the same job, the prettier one has the higher chance to get the job just because the person is more attractive. Attractive people are more successful than the beauty-challenged. If only people of a particular race, age or national origin are being held to an appearance standard, the company may have crossed the line into illegal discrimination. All those company bad rules are illegal but they still happen sometimes. And it is hard for a person to seeking for help when they suffer all those unfair rules. They want to get same opportunities, same jobs that they deserved, so the plastic surgery comes to their mind. They do plastic surgery so that they will have better prospects. Because of this bad ethos, it encourages more and more people to do the plastic surgery.
