Society is divided with their concerns about gay marriage. Marriage is traditionally defined as a union between a man and women but there has been a debate about same sex marriage for decades and people in the LGBT community just want to have the same rights as heterosexual couples. The LGBT community has been fighting for their rights; they want equal protection and equal laws that allow them to get married to who they love. In this text there are three articles that will be reviewed. If you take a look at it in a religious aspect, it is considered a sin. Liberals believe that liberty for all people should mean exactly what it states; to leave a certain group out of their right to marry who they want is called discrimination. States and government are intentionally choosing to marginalize the people of the LGBT community. As this nation was established on the opportunity of religion, to construct laws with respect to religion is unlawful. The article was written last year it is fairly recent and people today can know and understand about current news and how it impacts them today. The author makes some general assumptions that are based on social and theoretical standards. For example the author includes government laws and regulations on same sex marriage and the consequences of denying someone their right to marry in the state of Kentucky. These are all facts that are coming from reliable sources like CNN.
