There are many things that must be considered when looking into to opening a law office. These things include (but are not limited to): Budgetary constraints; Future growth; Physical location; Amenities; Client needs; Ergonomic considerations and maximum efficiency. In order to have a successful law office there must be a well-designed office plan. A well-designed office plan creates production and gives both the employee/s and client/s a pleasant environment to work in. In turn this creates profit, maximum efficiency, and promotes future growth. Simply put it makes people want to be there.

In this private area we should include espresso machine and other drinks, magazines, accommodating snacks, access to the internet and flat screen television. We want the client to feel “at home.” This will cost us around $100-$200 per month (internet, espresso machine, and snacks) and one-time fee of around $300 for the flat screen and $200-$400 for the espresso machine, since we already figured the furniture into the budget. As required by OSHA every work place must provide a safe and healthful workplace. OSHA explains that ergonomics: “helps lessen muscle fatigue, increases productivity and reduces the number and severity of work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).” MSDs are created by such factors as bending, reaching, working in awkward positions, and performing the same tasks over and over. In order to avoid MSDs we must provide the best precautions for each other and our future workers. These precautions will include (but are not limited to): Raising awareness of MSDs by providing training on the subject, encourage employees to report early of any health problems, and finally define goals and objectives as related to the ergonomic process by discussing, evaluating and informing everyone in the office of the Ergonomic process. To further avoid complications of MSDs the office should in the future make each work station as comfortable as possible, this can be achieved by making sure posture is correct and that the employee is comfortable. Further, we should apply certain desk work out routines like stretching, 5-10 minute breaks every hour and also we should provide a private area that stressed out employees can fully relax by watching something on tv or making a personal phone
