The city of Mecca interacted with the bedouin tribes that lived in the desert areas around it by establishing a food and caravan trade system. Mecca also became a ground for establishing peace between feuding clans.
Islam first arose when Muhammad constructed the Qur’an through the words of Allah. Once he was finished with the Qur’an, Muhammad preached the words to his clan. Islam brought unity to the people of Arabia and it showed that everyone was equal. However, with all of these positive aspects, the new faith became a threat to the pagan gods of the Ka’ba. When the Europeans over powered the Muslims, they always wanted to regain their values and ultimately, throw off Western supremacy. The two societies have gone through series of battles and attacks on one another for centuries and it has not stopped to this very day.
The feelings of Anti-Americanism are rooted from the fact that the United States is the current leader of the West and the pent up hatred that was stored from the actions of the Europeans centuries ago, has been transferred to America because of their relationship with Europe.
