The mention of how defectors from North Korea attempt to enter into the labor market and the policies behind that is brought up in this article. system means that change needs to occur for refugees to prosper. The article discussed a way in order to better integrate the defectors into the society in terms of their employment. Finding stable economic markets for North Korean refugees to work in is essential for their financial prosperity. This article presents us with some solutions.

Thie article mentions how converting the refugees from North Korea would affect their new found lives and if it is morally acceptable for the church to get involved in the politics of these refugees. Here, the religious conversions of the refugees are recognized as a cultural process and seen as a way to give them salvation. These North Koreans have developed a community based on their need to satisfy their need to belong and be less anxious in their new situation. Having a religious influence on these refugees may prove to be beneficial for their success and assimilation into South Korea.

There has been a shift around the mid-1990s from which lesser privileged people from North Korea are going into South Korea. These groups have trouble sustaining jobs, getting an education, and adjusting to the new society. The article talks about Seoul’s movement, in recent years, to a policy of quiet discouragement for defectors rather than encouragement in the past.
