The Truth Behind Human Evil According to Andrew McCarthy, “Nobody thinks that they’re evil or bad, they think that they’re doing the right thing.” Humanity’s evil, more often than not, is stimulated by experience and can lead to criminal convictions and harm to the world. Human evil is based on experience because abuse while young can create violent tendencies, violence in the media allows for greater exposure to violent stimuli, and developed aggression in an individual. The impact of abuse to a child can lead to criminal offenses and human evil. As stated by Michael Shader, “Family characteristics such as poor parenting skills, family size, home discord, child maltreatment, and antisocial parents are risk factors linked to juvenile delinquency,” (“Risk Factors for Delinquency: An Overview”). All forms of child abuse can aid in the creation of human wrath and put a child, or teenager, at risk for …show more content…
In an article published by CNN, Sasha Emmons has found that, “excessive TV watching in childhood and adolescent [years] (we’re talking about 3 [or more] hours a day) is associated with an increased risk of criminal violence and antisocial behavior in young adults,” (Is Media Violence Damaging to Kids?). This evidence further proves that when young people have excessive exposure to violence it can provide aid in creating criminal offences and negative behavior. In the article “Shooting in the Dark,” new studies have shown that “schools have found that over time, digital warriors get into increasing numbers of scrapes with peers - fights in the school yard for example,” (Benedict Carey). If small to moderate doses of violent video games can lead to school fights, then high doses must lead to dangerous situations and violations of the law.
