You doubted me 'bout de money...”(121). Tea cake had actually left his her money because he had a gambling addiction. Then tea cake leaves again and gets Janie 's two hundred dollars and even makes profit. But was stabbed by a guy who had thought he was cheating at dice. They then move to the everglades and find work in the bean field. that where janie finds out about jealousy. She seen Tea cake flirting with Nukie, then nukie and tea cake both go missing and janie finds them play fighting in the cane fields but it wasn 't no play
