The youth living with the complications noted above can feel some type of way about the world and the people whom come from a different part of the pyramid. Firstly, they may have distain and hatred for kids with more opportunities and advantages in life such as private schooling, healthy marriages, both parents, and success. Here violence can arise as they are having these negative emotions and feelings infesting their mind harming their focus and turning it away from the resources that can help them achieve that level of success such as schooling. Perhaps they may not value school as they have not seen anyone become successful come out from the school they were a part of. Secondly, Racism is a vital part as many kids can associate success base of race. They may associate richness and success with a Caucasian individual. Which can create negativity among the groups without having an establish relationship and going of the perceptions that exist within their brains. Overall, there is no peace, instead there is only negativity. Using the Addie Model and with the help of my Digital Video Story I will develop a plan to help the youth who come from financial harsh upbringings to push throughout their problems to successfully become a successful human being in this world and spread positivity …show more content…
They must never feel left out or unworthy of becoming the most successful person they can possibly be. Just because they are starting from the bottom does not mean that their entire lives will be spend in the bottom. The Teen Lead program run and funded by Gary Matus offers many critical resources that help the youth with college concerns, financial advice, work opportunities, resumes, tutoring, and much more. The problem however, is that it only exists in downtown La. If some how the program can expand to all YMCAS and later to all schools; elementary, middle schools, and high schools then I am certain that it will help produce far more educated individuals and put them out in the world to become an inspiration for kids sharing similar upbringings. The goal will be to educate and promote schooling. The youth living in financial problems often time can’t find the motivation and inspiration at home but the Teen Lead programs offers successful stories.
Development and Implementation:
If offered as a mandatory course every school year from k-12 it will really uplift the youth. We need to begin talking about college from a young age to implement the idea of how school can help them achieve a better life.
