Why Students Attend College

All students should attend college and receive an education. Becoming a college student is hard especially by yourself. But working hard is an important way to be able to be a successful person. For example, some can relate to working hard because they grew up doing sports their entire life. They either ran track and field, cross-country, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, flag football, soccer, and more. In high school, being a student-athlete was tough because of the traveling, school work, tiring workouts, and keeping good grades. Students who come out of high school who are not academically ready. Some get stressed because they must balance a job and school and may be overwhelmed by the conception of so much independence and responsibility. College is the gate of adulthood and for some, they just aren’t ready to confess that yet. When students go to college away from home they feel discouraged and become so overwhelmed that they can’t pull through. The comfort of being home, missing your bedroom, or even the climate can trigger an emotional unsuitableness. In some cases, students look for an alternative to forgetting by doing drugs to make them feel better. They get hooked on drugs sometimes because they are so stressed out, peer pressure, and loss of passion. Mental breakdowns can cause a student to drop out of college and not look back. To conclude, students drop out of college for many reasons. Career choices can influence a student’s education. Some jobs don’t need a college degree. That decision students make is usually because they turn-over their academic deficiencies to college, mentally unstable, and unable to afford.
