Amor Cubano survived the flood of businesses closing and brings locals and tourist around Harlem a taste of Cuban’s culture. In an interview with Ms. Baquero, she mentions, “The year was hard, I got to admit that without the skills of Julio and friends helping, the company would be suffering. Everything to the cloth of the tables and the atmosphere was chosen by him because he wanted customers to feel at home”. Thus, there were communication, leadership and conceptual skills that were implemented by Mr. Julio, which shows the business was stable enough to survive the recession of 2008.
