1. How is it that, even among the best performing industries, only some companies do well? How can some companies in poorly performing industries still do well?

The technology industry is a highly competitive, capital intensive industry. Furthermore, the technology industry is a highly specialized industry. These tend to influence the competitive advantage that some companies have over others. Given the domination of technology in the current era, the industry is doing pretty well. However, the companies that have the competitive advantage of growth and diversification are able to perform very well. I recommend amazon.com it is a big name in electronic commerce and has other services like content distribution and web hosting. Amazon.com is an American company but due to its wide products offering and quality features, it has become best e-commerce retailer internationally. It is amongst one of those earliest companies that created an opportunity for people to trust the e-commerce websites. The company has beaten several physical retail outlets and stores like Walmart by operating through internet and technology.
