Trinity Industries came to be in 1958 when two propane tank companies, Trinity Steel and Dallas Tank Company both founded in 1933, were having hard times and decided to merge. Trinity Industries was led by W Ray Wallace for forty years and under his control it was turned into a successful “$2.4 billion provider of diversified products and services to the industrial, energy, transportation, and construction sectors.” (Schultze, U, 2011).
