“There is nothing impossible to him who will try” This quote comes from Alexander the Great. Alexander had inherited the empire after his father was assassinated in 336 BCE (BGE). He was only 20 years old, but very eager to follow in his father plan to attack the Persian Empire. During the time of King Philip's death, the Persian Empire was very powerful, so Alexander has to stay strong and lead his troops to victory. As they defeated to Persian, Alexander took over the power that King Darius had (BGE). After he took power, he began establishing other city-states all names “Alexandria” His courage, leadership, and intelligence had made him great. Alexander the Great is the greatest because of his strong actions in the ancient times.

Courage is the only thing that Alexander the Great definitely had. He stayed strong in the empire's weakest times. Living in the world that this empire took place in, was very tough. Many empires and city-states want power more than anything else. Alexander had the ability to conquer more land than any other empire in ancient times (Doc A and C). Having conquered millions of square miles shows how determined at courageous Alexander was. 11 of Alexander’s cities were named Alexandria, but in total, Alexander founded 70 cities in the times that he inherited the empire to the time of his death (Doc E) . Although Alexander killed many people, sold people to slavery, killed animals, made his men travel long periods of time without water, and was selfish with his land, he has changed our history.
