Introduction:
The official Aldi website sates that Aldi will launch up to 16 stores in 2016, and up to 50 stores in total over the coming years (Aldi.com.au, 2016). This research task is to discover whether Aldi is a threat to local supermarkets of South Australia or whether the supermarkets have no worry. In the research method I will use primary and secondary sources to come to a conclusion of the research question.

They did not believe that they would travel 25km just to go to an Aldi store as then they would be paying in petrol what they would be saving from the store. They went on to say they would certainly plan to shop at Aldi when being around a store to see the competition. The customers don’t believe that Aldi will take over but they think that Aldi should add some healthy competition to South Australia, Given Coles and Woolworths have monopolized the market in South Australia forever.
